Last chance for tickets for Ocean Colour Scene, they are palying in less than 2 weeks and are proving to be the biggest band that has every played in crewe, ever.
Tickets are selling fast and it is nearly sold out but we do have a few left so if you want to come to the gig all I can say is get your tickets this week.
We are starting our new student night for any MMU or South Cheshire Students at the m club- this will start at the new term at MMU in September. Student union cards will be needed
It will be free entry to start off with, and many bottles will be £1 for students only with guest Dj’s from around the UK.
We have a fantastic line up at xmas this year so if you are planning a xmas party . and you want to come to the club we can help you
If you buy 10 tickets, we will give you 2 free at any gig, so if you are planning a xmas party at work or just a group of friends come along to the m club for a great night out.
and if you want some atering perhaps a curry we can sort that out too.
December this year is going to be a great month for us at the m club, and we have just The Damned again at the best live music venue in town, ob 10th December 2008.
They were great last year so i am sure that they will put on a fantastic show again- get tickets early as xmas is going to be busy!

Crewe blog posted a good article about the decline of pubs in crewe and i believe that if the students spent a few nights in crewe than the pubs would not be closing down as they are at the moment
a few years ago nantwich road was a good and varied night out but slowly pubs are cloisng and quite frankly i dont blame students for no wanting a night out in crewe
but it now my mission to make sure that students from MMU can have a good night out in crewe at the m club
We will start in freshers week and it will be free entry for a few weeks at least, with student friendly prices
Steam appears to be long gone and thank god!, it always was a shit hole, so we hope to pick up and help with the local economy
I have spent some time looking through student forums and it seems that the night life is a bit of a joke in crewe and the students certainly moan about it and quite frankly the studnet union send them off to hanley, which is very “short sighted” as the town will then continue in decline.
any students reading this that want to put on a gig at the club get in touch- or if you just want to promote your own night give me a shout at he club.
it was not done for any reason but we do seem to have a lot of old school punk at the club
I certainly was around for the punk scene but it does seem a little tame today - what do you think

Just to update you on new bookings, I have just booked china crisis, today november at the m club, details will be on the website in the next few days , i am just waiting for the exact date , but it will be the 15th or 22nd november

We offer a 10% discount on all door prices to students with a valid student ID, this is a step in the right direction to ensuring a student friendly venue, in readiness for our studnet night “Ballroom Blitz” in September.
You must have a student ID for each ticket purchased, we may be soft but not stupid!
I am just looking through various forums about pubs and clubs, and there seems to be a common theme about door policies, and how bouncers treat the customers.
We at the m club have not got one, if you trainers on it is no problem, if you have jeans on - great, if you are scruffy, that is cool too!
Our door staff are told to let anybody in that is old enough and legal and not under any influence of drink or drugs.
If you feel that any door staff has treated you unfairly contact me straight away and we will resolve the issue.
As long as you are over 16, then you can come in, but one thing that we are strict upon, is booze to under age drinkers.
We will not tolerate any body trying to buy anybody under 18 drinks, and we will chuck you out! and we will certainly ID anybody that looks under 21 and you not belive the number of kids that try. One even bare face lied to a copper with false ID, and he is now banned for life.
So to any body wanting a night out come along and enjoy yourself, we just want to you to adhere to the laws of the land, and we will chuck out any trouble makers.
We must be the only pub or club in Crewe with no door policy, I want to get customers in not put them off.
I know they are not here until December but the tickets are flying out of the door so please don’t wait until after summer to buy tickets cos i cant promise there will some available.
I will keep you all updated in case for some reason we get a block booking but at the moment i would predict that we will sold out by October
We cant get it right every time and we put it out there to the punters to put in request who you want to see?
Give us a shout if you have a band in mind, and we will try and book them and if we do after your request then we will invite you along free. The blog is documented so we wll know who put the request in.
We are planning the biggest student night in Crewe for the MMU students in September at the m club!
The first night will be on in Freshers Week, on thursday 25th September 2008, so all freshers put it in your diary.
We know that they have no where to go to in Crewe, so we will be opening the doors on Thursday night at 11 pm for the new “Ballroom Blitz”
It will be a student only club night, so students can be assured that it will be safe enviroment for them to Party every thursday.It will be a student only night so make sure you have your student ID.
To start off it will be free entry, yes free entry, for students before 12pm , so there will no excuse not to come- it is the only student friendly club in Crewe.
I have been stopped twice today (sunday), asking if we have tickets left for OCS and whilst we have we have now sold 500 tickets with less than 5 weeks to go , so my advice is that you havnt got a ticket and want to go to teh gig get your tickets a soon as possible.
Sham 69 were great and played theirs hearts out for a good 1 hour plus set
Wasted life , local punk covers supported them and loved every minute of the gig
We enjoyed them so much that we have re-booked them for 8th November 2008- so get your tickets early!!
We have just booked the hamsters in 24th Jan 09, at the club, which is a first for us and we welcome them.
They have a big fan base in the area and have played in crewe many times and are regulars at the Jazz and Blues festival in nantwich
They have a huge data base of fans so get your tickets early for the gig , i know it is 9 months away but time does fly so buy your tickets and it will soon be here.
